The MOMS Club of Downtown Bethesda, Uptown Bethesda, and Bethesda-Glen Echo Chapters offer a variety of activities for their chapter members throughout the month. These events are 100% hosted by their membership and are almost exclusively held on weekdays. The monthly calendar may include:

  • Monthly meetings with a theme and a craft or other activity relating to the theme.
  • Playdates at parks or members backyards.
  • Open gyms.
  • Lunches at local kid-friendly restaurants.
  • Fieldtrips to the zoo, orchards, aquarium, museums and other exciting places.
  • Book Club discussions.
  • Walking Club strolls.
  • Parties around Christmas/Hannukah/Kawanza, Valentine's Day and Halloween.
  • Annual Family Picnic.
  • Community Service events.

Other MOMS Club Activities include...

Meals for Moms: Meals for Moms is a program where member volunteers prepare and deliver meals (one meal per volunteer) to new mothers within the chapters or members who otherwise need temporary assistance with meal preparation. Members add their names to the volunteer list and our Meals for Moms Coordinator calls upon the volunteers to occasionally prepare and deliver a meal. The meal does not need to be elaborate or costly. In fact, volunteers can even pick up a meal from their favorite eating or shopping establishment if time is an issue.

Playgroups: A playgroup is a great way for your child to play with and get to know other children while you get to know other moms. Playgroups are generally age specific, but cover a variety of ages. They may be hosted in members' homes or at local parks.

Babysitting Coop: The babysitting coop provides you an opportunity to give and receive quality babysitting services while getting to know other MOMS Club members. The coop holds periodic meetings so that you can get to know the other moms and children.

Get Involved

Members are encouraged to participate in the Club by not only attending activities, but also by planning them. Chapters are 100% volunteer run and need the support of their members. Members may choose to serve in a coordinator or board position that include responsibilities throughout the year, or help out as projects arise and assistance is needed. Members also plan the activities that constitute our monthly calendar.

Health Check

All members and their children are requested to adhere to the "health-check" guidelines that the chapters have adopted for EVERY club event. Please do not attend any event if you or your child is sick.
